Water Monitors flying to a new home in Tel Aviv
An international compatible exchange programm helps zoos from all over the world with the exchange of animals globally. The search for appropriate places for all kind of animals has been made very easy this way.
Thanks to this programm, a place for four water monitors was found. The animals moved from the Walter Zoo in Gossau to the Zoological Center in Tel Aviv in Israel.
ACE Pet Moving has provided the IATA conform travel crate for this transport. Catching the water monitors wasn’t easy. Those agile animals are not only very fast, but can also hide well behind small cracks and will defend themselves when coming too close. But the caretaker from the Walter Zoo are experienced and managed to grap them with a professional hand.
We booked the direct flight with Swiss from Zurich to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival the animals were collected from the airport and driven immediately to their new home. All four have arrived well & sound and managed the voyage with no harm.
