Hi Marcel,
Just a quick note to say thanks for your assistance with Baz. He arrived alive and well.
Anna went to see him in quarantine on Friday.  He was in good shape but of course, most displeased when she left without taking him with her.
Many Regards

Richard

No entry for Bimba into Switzerland – blocked by the swiss authorities

Bimba, a three months old Lagotto puppy, arrived on Saturday at Zurich-Airport. She was meant as a present and was shipped from Tunesia, a rabies risk country, to Switzerland. When the consignee, Bimba’s new owner, wanted to collect her from the airport, she was informed that she was not allowed to enter Switzerland and had to either be returned or euthanized!

The new owner signed a letter to confirm that Bimba can be put to sleep, because she wasn’t ready to cover the expenses for a return flight.
Luckily the person responsible for this misery started taking this mission over and wanted to save the dog. After several phone calls she managed to get hold of ACE Pet Moving.

ACE Pet Moving dropped everything and immediately started taking care of all the measures, booked the flight and arranged everything with the border vets so that Bimba could fly back home asap.

With this Blog, we would like to point out two very important things:
1. ANIMALS are NOT meant as GIFTS!
2. Check the regulations when moving animals internationally!

For importation of dogs and cats into Switzerland, please check the following link:
http://acepetmoving.ch/en/import.html

Please note that many holiday destinations are rabies risk countries. Paperwork for such countries involve microchipping, vaccinations, blood tests, permits and long waiting times.

Before you deceide to transport an animal internationally – contact ACE Pet Moving for advise.
