KAKA – Our „Calendar Pet“ of March 2011
Kaka, a cute little Toy Poodle girl, travelled with her owner for a few months from Macau to Switzerland. ACE Pet Moving was contacted for her trip home. The owner had to travel back to Macau and left Kaka with a friend in Switzerland.
Importation of live animals into Macau is only possible under special conditions and after some research we deceided to book the direct flight with Swiss from Zurich to Hong Kong. Our partner in Hong Kong arranged the import of Kaka and booked a ferry to Macau for the following day.
We informed the owner well ahead of time in regards to the restrictions and required documentation and stayed available to help, so that everything was issued correctly. Kaka arrived with her owner in a soft bag in cabin and therefor didn’t have a suitable travel crate. We chose a suitable travel crate, which complied with the IATA rules (as per LAR – Live Animal Regulations).
Kaka was brought to our office on the day of travel. After we checked again all the original documentation, we took her for a walk and fixed a bowl with frozen water in her crate.
Kaka arrived well & sound in Hong Kong and our Partner collected her immediately upon arrival and provided fresh water and food. The voyage continued the following morning with a ferry to Macau. The owner collected Kaka from the port at the advised arriving time and was very happy to be reunited with her little „teddybear“.
Upon her arrival, the owner looked after Kaka lovingly and groomed her according to the hot weather:
